I thought it might be because of an error response on my last server and so the game didn't handle well the exception when trying to display the menu. Sadly this was a fluke and was just pure luck. I checked carefully the logs and it seems to be related to their auth service being down.

Well, throwing my two cents in, but it would be awesome if the game didn't become unusable when an external service is down. It seems like this is going to be an ongoing issue, it was the same at launch of 10.

Yes I agree, it would be nice to have a fallback akin to steam offline mode.

Steps to Reproduce:
Expected behavior: I can play the game....
Actual behavior: I cannot play the game because the start menu doesn't appear.
