The current Mac OS version of Eco only natively supports Intel, and it has this issue where shortly after loading in to a world, all the text disappears, and the game crashes shortly after. I assume this is something to do with Rosetta. Unity introduced native support for Apple Silicon in Unity 2020.2 beta, and native support for ARM-based architectures came with .NET 6.
When Unity has a stable release that natively supports Apple Silicon, can we please have a more architecture-friendly Eco build? I really want to play Eco on my M1 MacBook Pro 👀
