I like this idea, enhanced communication.
we also talked about the mailbox idea in the art livestream last week, ask shayden about it
Love
The first two things are what I want the most.
A mailbox object where people can leave messages for you. Could work like a simple "suggestion box", where anyone can put a message in, but only the owner can read the messages.
A message board where you can put up notes, information or advertisements for other people to see, you could even use it as an actual message BOARD if it allows direct replies to already posted messages. A slightly different contract board would work fine. Would look better than having server rules posted on signs.
While we are at it, have it accessable from the web interface, so you could write, read and reply to emails from outside the game
The Internet function should, in my opinion, only be able to access pages created for that server.. With a simple cms page creator available on the web interface.
Allow the ability for anyone to create a domain in that system, and maybe purchase a few more for in-game currency.
This is something I wish we had in many games (like SWG, back before it was shut down, using holonet terminals for something instead of it just being a decoration)
Yeah, this system is really needed!
We recently thought of an important government need for letters - summoning people. If someone is being evicted, sued, or needs to talk with a GM about something, they should be notified of that happening. As mentioned before - setting up a sign won't work, since they don't always view their area and so on. It would be great to have a mail system in place that sends notifications or even in some extreme cases a whole-screen notification for the players.

This could be very interesting to have and allows for more things to do in the world. What does everyone else think of this?
