By default, all Activity rooms (crafting, trading etc.) are enabled, when someone writes into the Chat, it will drown in all those unecessary messages until everyone disables those channels.
Cant you just seperate the Chat from the Activitiy log?
Like C for Chat, Welcome, Private messages, Logins window.
And X for All other activities in a seperate window.
