Should be able to create a recycling centre which allows you to return processed items to their original form (Hewn Logs to Logs, Paper to Logs etc.) or to incinerate them to produce power.

Might be nice to turn some items into either scrap you can burn or some broken stone - if you don't want to create garbage out of discarded stone tools there isn't anything you can do with them...

You can turn minced meat into a burger, however.
