Bug: Unpausing with escape needs to be pressed twice #1504

Describe the bug

As of staging you need to press escape twice to unpause.

Pressing it once hides the pause UI but you are still paused.

To Reproduce

  1. Pause
  2. Try to unpause
  3. Notice it hides the ui
  4. Unpause again, it actually unpauses

Closing, as I believe this issue was fixed a while back.
