Bug: Custom Developer Commentary from main menu seemingly broken #1620

Describe the bug

I implemented developer commentary by adding an item to the "extras" menu which toggles "commentary 1" and "commentary 0" Loading into a map would then load all the commentary files This used to work fine in Portal 2, but in P2:CE it is seemingly broken

Issue Map

Any map with commentary

To Reproduce

  1. Set up map with dev com
  2. Create buttons firing "commentary 1" and "commentary 0" consol commands in the modded "extras" menu
  3. In-game, select the "commentary 1" button to enable commentary
  4. Go in map and have no commentary
  5. (opt) now typing in "commentary 1" in console immediately enables the commentary nodes
