Are there plans to make XLD 64-bit native? Thanks!

At this moment I see little advantage in 64-bit XLD. I can move XLD to 64-bit
any minute, but I won't do it until PPC support is dropped from XLD.

Why do you want 64-bit native XLD?

Thanks for the quick reply.

I was under the impression that 64-bit mode would process bulk/mass
conversions faster. If that is not the case, then please disregard. I
appreciate the application!

Some codecs will become a bit faster due to increased registers, some will
become slower due to lack of assembly code optimization. All things considered,
I think it makes little difference.

Makes sense. Thanks again for the info.

Actually this might help with large batches, for example when the user converts
many albums at once, especially when converting FLAC to ALAC or other
high-bitrate format. XLD could use the extra RAM. Most applications are 64-bit
these days.

Although I do agree, this is not critical.
