Application does not work after 20141129 update

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.  Trying to convert any files using XLD
2.
3.

How about the reproducibility (always, sometimes, rarely, ...)?
Always

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Apple lossless - converted from .shn or .flac

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
20141129.  OS 10.10 Yosemite

Please provide any additional information below.
I've tried deleting and re-installing the program, but it will not work. Will 
not even open the graphic interface since the update to latest version.

You cannot even see a menubar? File->Open or drag & drop files to be converted 
into XLD icon should work.

Of course you can always get a preference panel via XLD->Preferences.

Correct - I can open XLD menus, but file>open, drag and drop, or 
highlight-right click-open with ...XLD yield no results - no conversion status 
bar or anything.

One further detail - all files i'm trying to convert are coming from an 
external hard drive.  Snapshot of main settings attached

No but this is the point where I don't understand anything.  Should I just try 
to convert some files, open console.app and see if there are any messages?  If

What do you have in "Format of Filename" option (in File Naming preferences 
tab)? Maybe empty string?
