Convert m4a to flac

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Trying to convert m4a from itunes to flac
2.Set preferences in XLD find files in itunes library
3.Click open nothing happens

How about the reproducibility (always, sometimes, rarely, ...)?
Every time

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Nothing happens

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Most up to date

What does "XLD find files in itunes library" mean? XLD doesn't have such a 
setting in pref...

Having set preferences, then using XLD 'File" "Open" I access my itunes 
library, select the album I want to convert

If your m4a files are AAC they cannot be opened with XLD (and converting AAC 
into FLAC does not improve the quality at all).
