We are working on new subtitles addon that will improve subtitles order on the list by checking if they match the video file name. I dont think there is any place in UI where we could show subtitles file name
Thanks for the response. Would a long press work to view details, similar to how it currently works on the home screen and elsewhere?
This would be one of the best features to add as it would fix Stremio's only true weakness. Add that and you have a perfect app.
If you think there is no place for long filanemes in UI as it is, please rethink it since this is ruining the experience for a huge part of the world that uses subtitles in many different languages.
I'm sure you can find a way to shorten them visually or somhow symbolize so user can understand it easily without long file names.
Thanks a lot.

PC and Web: hovering over the subtitle selection could provide those details in the tooltip itself; currently, it just shows its ID. Android and Android TV: as mentioned, a long press on the subtitle selection could show a context menu or something like a tooltip with those details.
Simply having the subtitle file name would go a long way in making it easier to find the one that best suits the release I'm about to watch. As it is, I have to select every single one and test it. The other day, I had to try 15 subtitles to get one that truly fitted. Out of curiosity, I checked the OpenSubtitles website, and out of the 20 available, only two could have worked based on the name alone.
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Very often, the subtitle track I select does not align to the video I am playing.
Describe the solution you'd like The actual name of the subtitle file should also be provided, rather than just the language and type (e.g. PGS/SRT)
