When watching on mobile it's annoying to have to sometimes restart what I was watching because I had to open a notification. Most times I just don't use the app because it's inconvenient. It would be awesome to have PiP so I don't have to worry about any of that

IF you disable play in the background in the settings it will pause video when you miniimize the stremio window.

any news on this one? i just do external player > vlc > PiP. but it doesn't track the time of the movie in stremio and is inconvinient.

I'm also interested in this feature. Happy to have a go at implementing it for you if I can have access to the source, professional Android developer on and off during career (currently off), implemented PiP in another streaming app. iOS I'm less sure about but could probably clobber my way through it.
