7 months ago Another vote for this, I have a ultrawide monitor so watching a ultrawide movie with hardcoded black bars is a sad sight (it's insane streaming sites do this in 2024... and there's so many shows encoded like this because some random studio logo screen is 16x9). A keyboard shortcut to cycle between standard crop values would be perfect (basically what VLC does, no need to reinvent the wheel).

2 months ago Just want to mention that the mobile stremio app has this feature, but not the desktop. So maybe someone skilled can port it over pretty easilly?
Sometime when I want to watch something that appears to be in 21:9 format, and I go fullscreen on a ultrawide monitor I’m being left with black bars on top, left bottom and right side of the video.
Having a feature to "crop" or zoom to fill the video would be fantastic. While opening in VLC "fixes" that to a degree it’s not very practical, also it hides the subtitles usually. So the experience isn’t good either.
It would be an awesome addition to stremio if there was a button, or key-bind where you could toggle zoom to fill
