popping-self-resonating-00.zip I shall require some help identifying the pops. I have attacked some recordings I have made bassed on your patch.
This WAV file is silence up until ~13 seconds. In this small section, I hear a pop on each transition. If I look at the waveform in audacity at a certain zoom level, there is clearly a change in slope from one note to another.
The pop is the same as what you get if you copy a waveform not at the zero crossing.
First, I'm totally willing to accept that this is me or my headphones, laptop whatever. But I'm wondering if these note transitions could occur at a zero crossing?
@mattcollier following our discord discussion, that this is a phenomenon present in all sin wave generators tested, and adding a slew would cause problems with many modulation techniques are you happy to close this issue?
OK, so for future reference, adding an external slew on the V/OCT CV is the solution to the popping. Closing.
Is there anything that can be done about the pops on note changes?
