We ran the server on GCP Cloud, just downloaded steamcmd, gnome desktop and wine. It runs fine through wine on Debian 11.

Because of wine not linux itself.

Currently possible through WINE.

I've created a Docker container see here on GitHub or here on DockerHub.

There is also an egg for Pterodactyl allready to run it in Docker on Linux
