Bold font emulation for PDF rendering causes black borders around each letter #231

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Change the font path in the attached XHTML file to point to the attached TTF 
font 
2. Render a PDF from the XHTML using iText 2.1.7 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The letters "ABC" should appear in the PDF in bold and red. Instead, a black 
border is drawn around each letter. 
The resulting PDF is attached (example.pdf).

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

flying-saucer 9.0.4, on Windows 7.
