STL viewer has checkerboard background

The 3D CAD .stl viewer gets a checkerboard background with the same white hover effect for transparent images. There's no reason for them to be, and it is very distracting.

Opinionated stuff like this should always be optional. I have it optional on my GitHub style.

Not that it matters its broken now in GitHub dark so you shouldn't have this issue anymore.
