Ping @mattlamb99
I concur with this request. I pretty much only use the white setting for my RGBW2(s)
I have been tinkering with a shell command and an input_number slider but I have not found a way to send the white value back from the RBGW2 to the input_number.
I would also like to get it working again...
Probably it's time to move to native shelly integration.. it seems to me that white chanel won't be resolved any time soon 😬
I did successfully move to Shelly native, for the upgrade you do have to totally remove this custom components/shelly directory, not just disable and new devices will have new names that stem from the device id set in the shelly itself. But I also want to thank all the devs for this project - great work and much appreciated!
So no plans for fixing this?
Any news?
I have Shelly RGBW with white led light connected to W channel only. I am unable to adjust white channel brightness. I found no way to do that.
I tested it using services test. I receive no error but white brightness is still the same.
Setting white brightness using Shelly app work fine of course.
Any idea how to set white channel only?
Unable to adjust both color and white.
Worked before 2022.9
Shelly V 1.0.2 contained a quick fix, that release is tagged with 'help please'.
NOTE: The official shelly/core integration light.py was updated https://github.com/home-assistant/core/blob/dev/homeassistant/components/shelly/light.py June 29 "Fix Shelly Duo RGBW color mode attribute" - that diff is at: https://github.com/home-assistant/core/commit/0028dc46e652634fd28c53a584a75a11b4cb434e
Unfortunately I'm not a python dev otherwise I would assist but it would be nice to get the RGBW2 working again, I have 15 of em...
Thanks.
