I've noticed when switching better sublime projects using the quick switch feature, the old process is no longer shutting down with Better CoffeeScript enabled. Adding the plugin to the ignored list fixes the issue. With the plugin enabled, the old process will continue to run and use the CPU.
This is an example of switching better projects a few times. I only see one entry on Task Manager when the plugin is disabled.
