Ah, the 4th attempt with the beta (https://github.com/SubtitleEdit/subtitleedit/releases/download/4.0.8/SubtitleEditBeta.zip) gave me at least an error message.
Is the swap error related to Windows or SE internal? If the latter, where/how can I increase it?
I didn't realize that the process requires a lot of RAM. Since I'm running this all in a VM, I increased the RAM to 32GB, rebooted and everything was fine and blazing fast. :)
TTS Piper/german karlsson always freezes during merging at different subtitles. This is the 3rd attempt freeze@303/819, the 2nd stopped somewhere around 400.
In general it works, with a very short subtitle sequence (around 20 lines) it completed. Another longer subtitle with ~1800ish lines also stopped randomly during the merge.
If it happens, SE is unresponsible, taskman show no activity and I can only kill the process.
