Goto Contacts, pick a contact "A", click on "Link" ("Verknüpfung" in German), link the account to some other contact "B". Then contact "B"'s birthday wont be shown in the calendar anymore.
A linked contact is like a sub-contact. E.g. you can put your friend's girl-friend there. The contact is accessible only via the main contact "A". Still, it is useful to show their birthdays!
