Reminders spam (too many unrequested reminders for birthday events) #80

I have configured Birthday adapter for only one calendar (the google one) with only one reminder per event: (at 11 am at the day of the event). The problem is I am practically getting 3 or 4 reminders around 12 pm, besides the one at 11 am. I tried reinstalling, reconfiguring, but no success. It is really annoying. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with Android 4.3. Birthday Adapter 1.17(18).
