Needed to pass tests for https://github.com/SuffolkLITLab/ALKiln/pull/561.

Given that this PR is small and shouldn't break any ALKiln tests, and is holding up https://github.com/SuffolkLITLab/ALKiln/pull/561, I'm going to merge it later today. Feel free to review before or after, I'll accept any post-merge suggestions.
