No SMS received after switching to LineageOS 15.1 (but sending still works). #24

I installed the 20190514 build about a month ago, and only realized today that I haven't been getting any SMSes (I incorrectly suspected my bank's 2FA system before I did more testing).

Sending SMSes works just fine, it's just receiving that's the problem (by searching around I find that usually the reverse tends to be the problem - not that any of it was on the H815 anyway).

I'll try to upgrade to a more recent build later today (for Bluetooth call audio if nothing else), and check if that fixes it (although I don't know why it would).

Are there any particular steps I could take to diagnose this? I looked at the *#*#4636#*#* phone info and the SMSC is the correct one for my carrier AFAICT (which adds up to being able to send SMSes), and I don't know what else to check.

I just got 2 SMSes (one from today and one from two days ago) when I moved my SIM card to a different phone, although I'm not sure there's a way to grab the rest. In between those there are a bunch I should've gotten yesterday, surprised none of those show up, I'm not sure what's going on there.

Wow, I managed to forget about this as I got used to having two phones with me everywhere. I should try an update soon.

I finally got around to upgrading, and installed lineage-15.1-20200321-UNOFFICIAL-h815 today. Bluetooth call profile is fixed, which is great!

But the SMS problem is still here.

I've just upgraded to lineage-16.0-20200324-UNOFFICIAL-h815 and the problem is still there. I'll repost this on the issues_pie repo.

For the record the baseband version is 3-00101-M8992FAAAANAZM-1.31581.1.
