Incoming call with fast busy #87

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. SipGate Setup in SipSorcery
2. Create Sip Account for ATA/Softphone to log into in SipSorcery
3. Verify Softphone and SipSorcery are both registered. Softphone to
SipSorcery. SipSorcery to SipGate
4. Dial SipGate Number

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: Softphone/ATA to ring.
Instead: I get fast busy instead.
- Console on SipSorcery does not show any output other than registration
information
- SipGate shows incoming missed call

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Complex Dial Plan.
Tried Xten Lite and Zoiper.

Please provide any additional information below.

The problem is between SipSorcery and the Softphone.
The Softphone registers.
SipGate shows the missed call.
I don't see anything from the incoming call in the SipSorcery console.

Also the Wiki does not mention you have to "Add" a Sip Account under the Sip
Account tab. It just states to make sure you see a binding.

Forgot to mention SipGate does work. When I configure the Softphone to
register with Sipgate rather than SipSocery, incoming call works correctly.

I change the registration information to the correct information respective to
Sipsorcery vs. Sipgate.

Thank you for opening a ticket. It makes it easier for us to address individual
issues experienced by users. Wiki page 08 step 3 tells you to add the sipgate
entry. You don't add any accounts on the SIP Accounts page. You will only see
entries automatically appear in the SIP Bindings list when you have clients
successfully logged in, such as X-Lite, sipdroid, or an ATA running your home
phone. When you add the sipgate account on your SIP Providers page, you should
see an entry automatically appear in the SIP Provider Registrations list below.
Are you seeing your sipgate account appear down there?

Also, when you go to your sipgate account's settings page, is your VoIP phone
green or red? If its red, then SIP Sorcery is not successfully logging into
your sipgate VoIP phone. Is there any chance that you are leaving your SIP
client logged into sipgate when you are also trying to add it to your SIP
Sorcery SIP Providers page?

I was referring to Step 4. In order for the Softphone/ATA to register with
SipSorcery, A "Sip Account" has to be added, before a device can register with
SipSorcery to show up in "Sip Bindings" below.

If I do not add an entry to "Sip Accounts" for the Softphone to register with
SipSorcery. Then I get a "403 Forbidden" when the Softphone tries to register
with SipSorcery, because SipSorcery does not know of the user I'm trying to
register with.

On the Sip Provider Page, everything is fine. I see Sip Provider Registration
below to Sipgate. I get a Green Icon with the "SipSorcery" device registered.

No devices other than SipSorcery Logged into SipGate.

My understanding is this:

SipSorcery registers with SipGate.
SoftPhone registers wtih SipSorcery.

It is the SoftPhone to SipSorcery portion that is the problem. If I do not add
a "SIP Account", then what do I use for credentials for the Softphone to
register to SipSorcery? Also if I don't add a "SIP Account" for the Softphone
to use to register, then I won't see a "SIP Binding".

When I do add the "SIP account", then the softphone shows up in "SIP Bindings".
The incoming calls fails with a Fast Busy. I see a missed call in SipGate.

Thanks.

I never added a SIP Account. When you signed up at SIP Sorcery, did you
complete all of the fields? I just went through the process again, and saw that
halfway down the list of fields to be completed includes userid and password.
If you complete those fields, those are the credentials you would use with your
SIP client. You shouldn't need to manually add a new SIP account.

The 403 error typically means there is a bad userid or password somewhere. The
userid is case sensitive. That one gets me every time I wipe my Nokia tablet
and go to sign back in. Also, try setting sip1.sipsorcery.com as the proxy
server if you can. If you have absolutely tried everything, then I would
suggest deleting and recreating your SIP Sorcery account. We have seen both SIP
Sorcery and sipgate hiccup every so often when accounts were created,
experiencing weird issues until one or both accounts are deleted and recreated.

I would start with SIP Sorcery since that's where your login failure is
occurring and the account was not built with "starter" SIP account. Before
deleting this SIP Sorcery account, you can always create another one using a
different email address and you will see what I was referring to in terms of
defining the SIP credentials at account creation time. I will make the wiki
clearer in that regard.

Opening a new account fixed the issue, so thanks for the tips. I deleted the
Original SIP Account during all my debugging and I guess a manually entered
Account does not work for some reason.

Thank you for your help.
