similar problem when trying to buff a mind controlled enemy

Can you please reformulate the issue or provide a scenario? It's hard to comprehend what you're trying to say should or should not happen.

from the link posted above:

A mind-visioned rogue or druid who stealths can still be seen, and even hit with an instant cast spell.

When defending a node Arathi Basin you can Mind Vision an incoming rogue or druid before they stealth, then pop them out with SWP once they come into range.

steps to reproduce

  1. cast mind-vision on an enemy rogue
  2. have the rogue enter stealth
  3. cast an instant spell at the rogue (like Shadow Word: Pain) while channeling Mind Vision
  4. observe the spell not having any effect
