Not even sure I want to add this. It looks like that mechanic got into Gone Home from playtester feedback about how people felt guilty leaving the lights on and moving stuff everywhere, but that's clearly the kind of thing that would happen if the player is really invested in the sense of place, and the planned spaces for this game will be WEEEIIIIIIIIRD.
