We lost some functionality along the way... the page used to grab inference runs and if those didn't exist it would grab the training run. Right now when you open the page the plots are often blank and from a UX experience users will assume it's broken.

Auto pick the an inference run
if an inference run doesn't exist try to pick training
Put the inference chooser at the top of the details

done. We'll need to refactor how the dropdown is positioned, make it look nicer, might combine it will the model metrics web component.
