Failed to synchronize registry issue when removing the mod #16

Closed PokeNoKami closed 3 years ago

Version Info

Description of the Bug I installed the mod to get a better understanding of how chunks work, played around a bit then wanted to remove the mod along with supermartijn642configlib-1.0.5a-mc1.16.jar. But if I do that, other LAN players cannot join the game anymore. They keep getting "failed to synchronize registry". When adding the mods again, the players can log back in.

How do you remove the mods without getting that issue?

You need to make sure that the other players have the same mod list you do. Otherwise the block registries won't match, which leads to your error. So if you remove Chunk Loaders, the other players should also do so.

I literally took the whole files and dumped them on the other comp to make sure everything was in the exact same state and still got the issue.

Hmm, that is indeed odd. Could you share the latest.log file from when you tried joining the world?

Hello,

Here is the requested log. At the moment I reinstalled both mods so we can keep playing. It's not a big deal but I'm really curious about why it messes up the connection. I enjoy understanding how minecraft works, even though I'm not good enough to make mods and stuff.

Thank you for your work and help.

Oliver

I don't think the attachment came through if you attached to your email. I think the only way to share it here is via another website like pastebin.

As required by e-mail, here is the log. latest.log

Thank you!

I can't find anything odd in the log. I also tested it myself and I get the same issue, however it seems this happens for other mods as well.

I think this might be a Forge issue.

Well at least now we know. If you have anyone else supposing it's the mods' fault, you can explain. I'll close the help request. ^^ Thank you for looking into it. And for being a modder, mods makes games like minecraft infinitely replayable!

I have reported the issue to Forge.

I am glad you're enjoying the modded world and thank you for reporting the issue!
