After having read https://github.com/SuperMartijn642/MovingElevators/issues/164 and his log, I see he is having the same issue. Which means it's been an issue for a while, apparently.
Oh and, this issue ONLY occurs when using textures that are connected textures. Meaning that blocks from Rechiseled or other mods that create connected textures cause this. When using regular blocks (something I use for now while using shaders), this issue does not occur.

Yup indeed, I tested it with Iris then, but couldn't replicate the issue. But I guess the missing piece, like you mentioned, is using blocks which require a world context. Not sure when I will have time to test, so it might be a bit before I get to fixing this.
Still can't reproduce the issue. Even with Continuity, Fabric API, Fusion, Indium, Iris, Moving Elevators, Rechiseled, Sodium, and my core and config libraries, it seems to work fine. I also used the Complementary Reimagined shaders.
The video shows an elevator with block which have connected textures from continuity and from Fusion, so really not sure at this point

Not sure what to tell you either, as I am experiencing the crash that the other dude did as well. But since I do not know which mods he and I have in common, I cannot tell you which other mods could potentially cause it if they exist as well.
Last idea I have, is that it could be when in companionship with Immersive Portals perhaps? I know that Immersive Portals messes with shaders, amongst a million other things (I love the mod but god damn is it an unstable turd, jeez...), so my suggestion would be to try it with Immersive Portals. Otherwise, it could realistically be anything.
Hi! I am experiencing the same problem which occurs when I am not around the elevator and there is someone else using the elevator I will have the same crash report as the issue.(I used MakeUp-UltraFast-8.8a or Sildur's vibrant and the same thing happened.) I'm using a translator, so sorry if I'm not very detailed.

Sometimes I have crashes when I press the button to move the elevator and I'm not on the elevator.
Rarely, it happens when I'm maneuvering in an elevator.
I was actually going to mention that I have not had the crash happen since the last update was released, where some texture issues were fixed. Strangely enough however, now blocks I use to cover Elevator Panels (all of them) with, get changed to a random one each time the server restarts. The crashes however, seem to be entirely gone as for now.
From looking at the various crash logs I received, I think Moving Elevators version 1.4.3a/b/c for the respective Minecraft versions should fix the crash. I still haven't been able to reproduce the issue, so I am not entirely sure. If the issue still persists, please let me know.

That should be unrelated, so likely just a coincidence and not actually fixed by that update.
Anyways, thank you for reporting the issue!
Version Info
Are you using OptiFine?: ... Fuck no, never again 😂
Steps to Reproduce 1: Download and install Fabric, FabricAPI, Sodium, Indium, Iris, Continuity, Fusion, Rechiseled and a shaderpack (pretty much any of them works, but I use AstraLex or Complementary, so I imagine this to happen with all of them). 2: Run game, make an elevator, apply shaders, try to move up/down with the elevator = Profit (crash)
Crash report (~/logs/latest.log)
The log above includes all mods that I have installed, but according to the crashlog it's pretty obvious that there are six culprits, namely:
I hope you can find out a solution, as everything else works fine with this combination of mods :)
