Retrieved electron energies #38

Hello,

I have an issue for a number of events (not all):

The energies retrieved either by using "reco_electron_energies" or " reco_higher_electron_energy" gives the exact same energy for both electrons. noting that the "true_highest_primary_energy" gives different results.

Is there a quick fix for this?

Thanks in advance,

Please can you give more information? You can look at the events in question in flvisualize and see what their actual energies are. Are they events that really have two reconstructed electrons? Can you point us at the file you saw the problem in and tell us which events have the problem? Without knowing what you saw, no, we can't fix it.

Ok, so previously I thought I checked the correct reconstructed events in the .brio files. Now I realized that the problem is from flreconstruct. Thanks.

so,

It is not exactly a problem of flreconstruct but more of the interpretation of sensitivity perhaps. I attach a screen shot of an event that has passed the "two calorimeter hits" cut. as you can see, the two electrons end up in the same OM (hence the reconstructed energy of both electrons is equal to the sum of the two energies).

I'm really surprised that passed 2 calo hits cos it looks like it only has 1? Hamzah and will have been using a cut for 2 independent hits, so that could be a good one to add.
