I've been trying to setup my Agama wallet for KMD Native for probably 2 to 3 weeks all-in-all but never managed to get through.
First, the blocks downloading take forever and I am traveling often so I can't always have a very good internet + doing video calls so I usually end up having to turn things off. So it's not very usable right now. This is more of a PEBKAC, but as a normal human, I assume "a lot" of people will have the same problem.
Secondly, I have downloaded the whole blockchain probably 5 times in total, but it never resumes from local files? It keeps restarting from 0 every time. I tried the 'daemon: rescan' which somewhat fixes this, but the 'daemon: reindex' doesn't. Reduces usability much.
Third, even when I managed to get to 100% of the blockchain (3 times), it just keeps at "100%" and does nothing anymore, the bar stays there, the popup saying "Downloading blockchain" disappears, but it never finishes. When I "Stop", it asks me to redownload everything. When I close the app (the app says 'if it hangs, restart', it will redownload the whole blockchain again.
Please do not see this as aggressive but I really think that if we want Cryptos to become mainstream, this is really not going to help. There is an overall very low usability for most humans. Let alone those with a low internet bandwidth.
Am I a fool or are those issues real? Is there anything I can do to help? Are you guys aware of those issues or have I been doing things the wrong way? After 3 weeks of trying to get Agama to work, I feel silly that none of it has come to work. The SPV does but I want to use the Native features (because after all that's one of the reasons that makes KMD / Agama great + I do want to have the whole blockchain on my machine)
Let me know if I can provide anything to help. This process has been quite frustrating to be honest.
