Payroll based on PAX Fiat chains #1

jl777 [10:56 PM]
there is also a need for a "payroll" type of GUI that uses pax fiats.

[10:57]
already for inhouse payments to people, the pax fiats are a very good way to transfer the fiat equivalent value and since it is crypto, it is ideal for a global organization across many countries. additionally zcash tech can be used to make the payments themselves private, which for payroll is an important thing at many places

[10:58]
I think an app that allows to use the pax fiats in an easy way to manage payroll would be a first in the industry and also very useful at the same time

[10:59]
I have no idea what is needed for this, just that it is a good concept.

grewalsatinder [11:02 PM]
@jl777 I already had this in mind, a paxfiat based payroll.

jl777 [11:03 PM]
yes, if we can somehow automate into localbitcoins API

grewalsatinder [11:03 PM]
I can make it quicker once electron app with node.js working

jl777 [11:03 PM]
then the pax fiat -> KMD -> BTC via LP and from there -> localbitcoins -> local bank

grewalsatinder [11:03 PM]
possible.

jl777 [11:03 PM]
once we have the path all the way into the local bank account nearly all automated

grewalsatinder [11:04 PM]
even better, may be can be used bitwadge

jl777 [11:04 PM]
then the reverse direction of going from local bank fiat -> BTC -> KMD

grewalsatinder [11:04 PM]
https://www.bitwage.com/

jl777 [11:04 PM]
not familiar with bitwadge, but I dont care the specifics

[11:04]
just that it works

grewalsatinder [11:05 PM]
I only care if API is available to use for banks gateway etc. directly or indirectly

[11:05]
once I can make things work via command line, can make it work via GUI

jl777 [11:05 PM]
yes, bitwage has the concept, we can take it further

grewalsatinder [11:05 PM]
:+1:

jl777 [11:06 PM]
with pax fiat, BTC automatically can become the internal currency for a company (eventually they might even switch to KMD) but all the workers get fiat equivalent that can be deposited in their bank

[11:06]
this is a real world use case that is not speculation

jl777 [11:07 PM]
it also avoids the weak spot of pax, which is the black swan market volatility that could happen over a many year timeframe

[11:08]
after payroll, we can expand to normal payments

[11:08]
the idea is to enable people/companies to use crypto internally, yet being backward compatible with fiat pricing that people are used to

pbca26 [11:08 PM]

I only care if API is available to use for banks gateway etc. directly or indirectly could be a dedicated centralized service if no api is available publicly

grewalsatinder [11:19 PM]
could be

jl777 [11:27 PM]
there must be off-the-shelf libraries for most of the frontend

[11:27]
I guess the entire universe of products that deal with payments/money

[11:28]
if there is an html template/library for it and we can change the lowlevel to use crypto we have a pax enabled solution

grewalsatinder [11:28 PM]
yes there are.

[11:28]
it’s like making third party open source or proprietary softwares to link with blockchain.

[11:29]
making their modules or plugin to connect to fiatchains

[11:30]
it can be like adding a plugin to word press website or customer management portal website and users are able to use paxfiat for payments, and payroll etc.

jl777 [11:31 PM]
yes, even better

grewalsatinder [11:31 PM]
or it can also be like there’s a custom software we make which does things as we expect it to do

jl777 [11:31 PM]
we do the plugins for the dominant used systems

[11:31]
and we can make simple demo apps to show people how easy it is to integrate komodo directly

grewalsatinder [11:31 PM]
in that case we will def need more PHP devs

jl777 [11:32 PM]
best to start from a real world use case that you need, so I start with payroll

[11:32]
from there, can expand to all sorts of areas

grewalsatinder [11:32 PM]
yes I vote for payroll app too :slightly_smiling_face:

jl777 [11:32 PM]
but dont want to be replicating Quicken or anything like that

[11:33]
just small simple solutions for what is actually needed by us

[11:33]
then others can add what they need to the open source

grewalsatinder [11:33 PM]
:+1:

jl777 [11:33 PM]
doing plugins for existing things makes sense

jl777 [11:35 PM]
for an online store that wants to accept BTC but have prices in fiat, they are taking the price fluctuation risk and so they need to add some extra margin to cover this

[11:36]
using pax, they can price precisely and then do a single convert for the aggregated amount

grewalsatinder [11:37 PM]
this can be very useful with eMercury.

pbca26 [11:39 PM]
don't forget about magento

satindergrewal commented 7 years ago

This just came to my mind. Why thinking to connect to some exchange or localbitcoins in case we could make something which works in similar fashion as localbitcoins ??

@jl777 if we can possibly replicate what localbitcoins is doing on centralized website, in a decentralized platform, that would even be better. :slightly_smiling_face:

It's a request, wait, messaging, confirmation, escrow, file attachments, etc such as things which localbitcoin does.

a mix of steemit, supernet messaging, bitcoin nlocktime, and DEX
