Hi @marcuss-so !
The docs text is out of date. We should not list versions like this. You can view the current version by viewing the NuGet package dependencies tab.
https://www.nuget.org/packages/SuperOffice.NetServer.Core#dependencies-body-tab
The docs will be update, and remove that version reference.
Best regards.
Is it really true that the currently used version of MailKit in the latest version of SuperOffice is 1.4.2.1, or is the documentation just not updated? If it is correct, it really should be updated.
That is a really old version from 2019 and the current version of MailKit seems to be v4.4.0 (2024-03-15) (https://github.com/jstedfast/MailKit/blob/master/ReleaseNotes.md).
Also, I would like a guide for how to enable MailKit Onsite for the Service-/ and Mailings-communication (incoming and outgoing email). It is my understanding that the LibCurl-library is the default mail-engine för those flows, given that Basic Auth is used. Only if OAuth2 is used for the IMAPS communication, MailKit is used per default.
Mailkit might be a better default mail-engine also for the Service flows, as it uses the SChannel-framework in Windows, which uses the certificates stored in the Windows Certificate Storage, as well as settings related to allowed TLS-versions and ciphers. It also gets new ciphers via Windows Update.
