GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Describe your system:
 - Operating System (be specific): Windows XP SP3
 - Machine type (32-bit or 64-bit): 32 bit
 - Mupen64Plus version: 1.99.3
 - Plugins used: Mupen64Plus OpenGL Video Plugin by Rice v1.99.3,
Mupen64Plus SDL Audio Plugin v1.99.3, Mupen64Plus SDL Input Plugin
v1.99.3 (a later version then the one that comes with the 1.99.3 released,
but I guess it doesn't matter..), Hacktarux/Azimer High-Level Emulation RSP
Plugin v1.99.3

ROM info:
Goodname: Pilotwings 64 (U) [!]
MD5: 8B346182730CEAFFE5E2CCF6D223C5EF
CRC: c851961c 78fcaafa

Describe the problem:

I've found two small (not gamebreaking) graphical glitches with Pilotwings 64

Transparency:
Some places that shouldn't be are partly transparent like the targets (the
ones you should hit with the missiles, the landing spots and the targets
you should hit with the cannon), they should be white and red, but instead
they're white and transparent. Also some part of the game world can show
up as partly transparent sometimes, like seeing through the ground.

Motion blur like effect:
This one I'm not entirely sure, it was some time ago that I played
Pilotwings on an actual N64, but it feels wrong and I didn't see it using
Project64, and I don't see it in other games using mupen64plus (so it
shouldn't be related to Hz or FPS). It affect everything on the screen when
you're ingame (not in menus).

Please provide any additional information below.

Everything is with default settings, just the resolution and the controls
were changed.

I've attached a screenshot, it shows both the transparency problems (the
white circles are the targets, and you can see the water through the
ground) and the motion blur.

Regarding N64iod aka the GPL violation - yes.

You can contact ari64 when you want to get in contact with the author of the
actual armel port which yongzh had "stolen".

If you want an advanced graphics plugin with such advanced features then you
have to support this campaign to reach more than 10000 dollar (7000 already
gathered): https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/gliden64-graphics-plugin
