Would be neat if we had a way of swapping in structures for facets (e.g., symmetric difference of polytope and pyramid over specified facet... so the combinatorial result of adding a point over a facet and retaking the convex hull).

Other things along these lines include truncating a single vertex, or subdividing a single edge.
