commit work in new branch setup/upgrade-deps from setup/sigh-cert-fastlane-ios (see PR #3)

Problem

It has been at least 6 months ago when the last build was made. All dependencies need to be updated to provide a stable base for further development and to observe if

everything still builds
if some existing issues have been resolved through upgrading
determine which new issues need to be addressed prior to release

TODO's

This pertains to package.json updates mostly.

Please, commit iOS and Android fixes or changes in separate commits for traceability's sake.

[x] start off with upgrading dependencies for the iOS build and update all relevant packages until everything builds and runs in the simulator.
[x] commence with upgrading all the Android-specific packages.

@vidbina can we have a chat? what has changed from the last time ? succeeded to partially upgrade the app, making api. login, and then. only one screen with some charts... i need to test other components, do i have to hack the code to push other views(grids, camera) ?

Hey sorry, was working on something else and didn't hear the notifications. You can ignore the other components for now. We probably won't need them for a while. So the login and chart views are the only ones relevant at this stage :wink:.
