I'm curious if the MCP3008 can use 3.3V for it's logic power so that output voltages are in 3.3V and thus pi-compatible and the reference voltage can be separately given 5V to match inputs. Inputs will need to be scaled either way, but keeping inputs at 5V will reduce noise and powering the logic 3.3V directly from the PI which provides 5V to 3.3V already would be useful.
