i'll invited myelf on the demo portal.
could you please check:
- which version of the application are you using?
- do you have general problems to send mails? (for example during registration,
you
can alter the configuration keys of smtp/auth of your mail-server in the
configuration section in the admin panel)
you should receive at least an error-report of the invitation (for example
*domain of
receipent not route-able*)

+ check your red5.log file ... and attach your debug output
... if you have probs to find debug on linux box:
start red5 using:
nohup ./red5.sh &
retry sending invitations
and look inside nohup.out

hi
I have installed openmeetings sucessfully and i get an error when i go to the
conference and send an invite to any other user the error is
Java.lang.NullpointerException.
I have checked my configuration panel for the SMTP settings and if you can send
me
what vales we need to enter for the smtp server and port and the user name pass
word
fields and do we need to keep the value field in 1 or 0 for all these fields. I
have
tried using 3 SMTP servers all different and in all of them i get the same
message
only when i went to the RED5 console i get the
message that theorg.openmeetings.remote.Invitaion service-valid from date ...
and then it freezes in the client side i get the error pop up stating that its a
Java.lang.NullPointerException.I have tried all the solutions mentioned in the
forum
for this problem but cant figure out the error.
My open meetings version-0.5.2
My operating system-Windows XP Service pack-3
My red5 server version -0.7.0 java-6
My red5 runs in WindowsXP Service pack-3
My SQL version -5.0.1
