Webcam crashes browser #298

Which version of OpenMeetings are you running? Beta 7

What's your operating system on client and server side? Fedora Core 8 on
Client side, Fedora Core 4 on the Server side

Is it a problem related to the client/usability or server-side?

From the client, I open up either Firefox or Seamonkey and go to the
Openmeetings application. I open up a conference. A flash dialog box
opens, asking for permission to access the camera and microphone. The
instant I click "accept" the web browser closes.

If I leave the webcam disabled, the conference room appears.

There are no error messages that I can find, but if someone tells me how to
create a trace, I will.

As another note, when I go into skype and enable the webcam, it WORKS. So
I know the webcam is working properly.

Did you have any trace/debug output?
To get the debug output of the client run the software in debug-modus
Debug modus of the client:
http://$RED5-HOME:$RED5-HTTPPORT/xmlcrm/maindebug.lzx.lzr=swf8.swf

for example for your local copy:
http://localhost:5080/xmlcrm/maindebug.lzx.lzr=swf8.swf

or see live example:
http://inno02.fh-pforzheim.de:8080/xmlcrm/maindebug.lzx.lzr=swf8.swf

Server side loging:
browser your Red5-Home directory. There's a log-file directory. On linux
boxes you can run red5 using:
nohup ./red5.sh &
and debug output will be written to nohup.out

please attach any debug output to get a patch on time

please make sure you hardware _can_ use webcams / microphone from flash. This
must be
a problem releated to Fedore + FlashPlugin + Webcam. Maybe you just took wrong
device.

I will add a Test-Application to test Cam + Mic in future.

I was able to, I think, turn on debugging. Attached is the output from the
last crash.
