When the icon appears as the Adobe DC icon, these files don't get picked up in the Accessibility Filescan.

Course examples: Moodle ID 24556. File un coup de dés jamais n’abolira le hasard (1914), Stéphane Mallarme

Important note: the freshservice integration does pull these files.

That file is actually a URL resource in Moodle that points to a PDF file hosted on a different (non-Moodle) web server. If a URL ends in ".pdf" Moodle is smart enough to make the icon a PDF file.

It is possible that we could add a future enhancement to download external PDF files from URL resources, but that would be a new feature.

TY, Andrew. And how do I make a feature request via github if I don't know code? Do I just leave this here and leave it open?

aruethe2 commented 1 year ago

Yup - I added the "Enhancement" label to this issue.

Thank you! I'll remember to do that in future, too.
