Will it affect Apache Wave?

Hi @vega113 , of course not. This avatar feature is an experimental extension we made time ago in swellrt but we don't need it any longer.

In general, we have made a lot of changes in the Wave's source code to provide our desired functionality and it is hard to say which features could be interesting for the Wave project. Also we are about to merge the Wave's master into our fork (graddle...), then probably could be easier for us to provide patchs to Wave.

Merging wave and swellrt back - would be great! I personally, see no reason for wave and swellrt developing differently. In any case - it would be great that contributions to wave would make it into swellrt and vice versa.

Hi Yuri,

At first glance, the benefits of merging both projects are not clear to me because SwellRT is focused in providing an API to build new apps and Wave is an app itself. In fact, someone could rewrite a Wave's clone in top of SwellRT.

Of course contributions in both directions are good, I expect to provide more after upgrading the SwellRT's code to newest Wave's version.
