It can also add temporarily disabled the bot from sending invalid API requests to Niantic feature in program, may be read the static html file in an url before calling api, if the value is change to false, than stop sending api for all user using this bot. This can do by using google Apps Script easily or other method.
I cannot find the page you are referencing. That being said, this site uses the same exact method of polling the API as bots do, so by your logic, anyone logging into that site would also be flagged.
the "detected cheater" and ranks are all done from THAT application, not from Niantic. (I have seen nothing about Niantic banning users), its just that website saying "this guy hits too many pokestops to be legit"
Thats a 3rd party website saying heresy about cheaters, not a reliable source. This will never be used as a method for banning because of the chance of false positives. There are autistic and obsessive people out there who have been legitimately playing the game who could possibly be flagged as "cheaters" with this method.
Lastly, if you are afraid of being banned, theres a simple solution - Don't bot. Batting has inherent risks by definition.
can you link the URL of that page which shows ranks for me?
@SippieCup You have to log with your account https://pokeadvisor.com/
I'm not logging into this website.
This post is all fud and completely unfounded. They will not use data like this for bot detection. It's simply too unreliable and the possibility of banning one legitimate player is worse than letting 1000 bots run.
Closing thread.
I'm not against you @SippieCup I know niantic will never ban with that website. Ans it's fully the webmaster who tag that player as a cheater.
I know, I would rather just not spread false rumors about bans, etc.

Yeah ofc you right
Niantic has begun to ban many of the users who have a high rate of pokestops obtained.. https://pokeadvisor.com/ -> Community -> PokeStops
All banned!
The algorithm may be need to change to get pokestop when the user has not enough pokeball only, hgih pokestop rate to get experience are banned. And I think the probability of getting pokemon need to decrease, may be set to waste some pokeball if the pokemon are already catch to reduce the catch rate. I also suggest may be set a highest exp/h value in config file.
