I am also having this problem.
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Click on the drop down box to choose a connection
2. The connection list appears but shows as a white box with lines through it.
No text is visible.
3. Selecting one of the entries in the white box will load the connection
settings but I cannot tell what connection I am selecting because the box is
all white.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead? See above.
What version of android-vnc-viewer are you using? 0.5.0
Which VNC server/version are you using? On which platform? TightVNC, Windows 7
What is the size of the desktop you are trying to access (i.e. 1024x768,

This is the third Droid 2 I've had, and this application has had this issue
with all three of them.

I have found a cause/solution to this problem. While working on an Android app
of my own I noticed that the default spinner control worked fine in the
emulator but showed as all white on my Droid X just like it does for this app.
It appears that the default spinner control has both the background and
foreground colors set to white. This is probably a bug with the Droid X but can
be fixed by specifying what these colors should be in the approriate resource
xml for this apps spinner control. This only seems to be a problem on the Droid
X for certain default spinner styles and not all of them. When I set a
different background color in my app, the spinner control worked fine on my
device.

My wife's phone is having this problem as well.
Importantly, it is a "Motorola Droid 2 Global" (NOT a droid X, as was
previously suggested to be the only phone that experienced this problem)
My phone is a Droid X2 and it DOES NOT have this problem.
FYI, the following issues all appear to relate to the same defect: 203, 216 and
240.
If the problem has to do with default colors as suggested by "cameron..."
(above), is there any workaround for this by changing standard android system
settings?
Thanks!

After the upgrade to Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) on my Droid X, the problem is
gone.

Having the same problem on a Motorola Bravo, and this has nothing to do with
what you are connecting to, because it happens as you enter or choose a
connection. If it is indeed having to do with the "apps spinner control", is
there a way to clear this, or set the background colors in something like an
INI file? Android 2.3 is not available for my Bravo yet.
