Libretro core not found #294

I was happily installing last version of lemur droid, surely the best Android retro games emulator, app that i used before on my

and it starts to search all my games and everything was found, but... when I started to try a game it appears a message "libretro core not found.. not connected to internet.. system not compatible, etc". Why? Should i try an older version? Is it a common bug? Should i add something, somewhere? Thanks!!!

P.s. is it in program something like a kaillera integration?

Hi @esclusoilcane . Where did you grab Lemuroid, from Google Play or here from the github release page?

Lemuroid requires an internet connection to download cores and box art, has your device an active connection?

I'm facing the same problem it was working fine before I'm using Huawei matepad 10.4 and my apk from github

esclusoilcane commented 2 years ago

I downloaded it from APK mirror, i solved it reinstalling again, only thing is it detects less arcade games than before and only half working, I'll try a previous version too 2 requests:

Thanks grazie!!!

I also experience that only MelonDS and desmume is the available core. Screenshot_2021-07-21-05-03-01-275_com swordfish lemuroid

I probably had the same issue. If I'm remember everything right, the problem is that when you update Lemuroid, then it is sometimes deleting downloaded cores, so if you don't have Internet connection at the same time, then you can't play your games. So Lemuroid should delete old cores only during updating to new cores.

我也遇到了类似的问题,在中国的话,首次启动好像是需要代理的哈。不能核心文件不能下载

Having the same problem on my pixel 6 is there a way to force download the cores?

Edit: nevermind, using github version instead of play store fixed it for me.

rpdelaney commented 1 year ago

Pixel 6 too. I installed from F-Droid. Trying github version.

Edit: Yeah, that worked. Weird how the F-Droid distribution is failing?

I have the same error, in my case I don't have google play enabled. Instead I use aurora store.... What app do you need to install to install the "core"? I think it should be put in the readme to help others to install the kernel manually.

What app do you need to install to install the "core"?

Go to releases page and download the file named lemuroid-app-free-dynamic-release.apk
