"StorageAccessFramework not supported" dialog flashes briefly and closes (impossible to read) #631

Open x11x opened 1 year ago

Describe the bug When the "StorageAccessFramework not supported" dialog is shown for me, it closes immediately, making it impossible to read. (I eventually managed to grab a screenshot before it closed).

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

(on a device which does not support storage access framework)

  1. Go to 'Setting'
  2. Click on 'Directory' under 'ROMs'

The dialog flashes up and closes immediately.

(also happens when you click the 'Select Directory' button on the main screen when no ROMs are loaded)

Expected behavior Expect the dialog to remain open until you tap 'OK'.

Smartphone (please complete the following information):

Additional context Apologies if this has been reported before, I could not find a specific issue for this, but I noticed it was mentioned in #177 (the same thing was seen on that Android Q device).

Pic ??

There's nothing that can be shown with a picture. Everything is as normal, just the dialog disappears immediately without waiting to be dismissed, too quickly to be read.

I managed to snap a screenshot of the dialog when open, it displays the correct text which I verified by checking the source code. Didn't think there was any point posting a pic of dialog displaying correctly

I don't know enough about Android apps to know what would be causing the dialog to disappear like this, from the code it looks like it should work. I will see if I can get a logcat and post that here

I could try to make a gif if that helps, if my text description is not making sense

I have the same issue on my Philips Android TV

How to fix it? I don't have access to this folder via file explorer too. Any options to change this default folder? Permissions enabled for file access for Lemudroid.
