Does uninstalling the fonts resolve the issue?

I don't know, but that's hardly a solution – I don't want to risk having
users experiencing the same issue. As mentioned on the original post, it only
happens with Chrome.
Thanks anyway

I can confirm that uninstalling a local version of the 'Open Sans Light' font
from my Windows machine fixed the issue.

True, uninstalling local files is a workaround to the problem. Just remember to
stay away from Open Sans If you‘re a designer or developer.

I have run into the same problem with Open Sans displaying as condensed on
certain computers. I have one computer ( 2009 era iMac running 10.10.4) that
doesn't have the font installed in my Font Book, and it displaying all Open
Sans web fonts as condensed. However, I have another computer (13" MacBook pro
running 10.10.2) that does not have this problem, despite not having Open Sans
installed on my Font Book. On the iMac when I install Open Sans in the Font
Book, the font displays normally on the web. I thought this was a Wordpress
problem, however the problem persists on the Google fonts page. I thought it
was a browser issue but Chrome, Firefox and Safari display the font in the same
way. This is a huge problem as my clients in France are seeing the wrong font,
and I cant figure out a fix to this.
