sound like xbox app is gone just install from Microsoft store

Try Sing out of xbox app ,sign back in and restart the PC. or https://www.reddit.com/r/forza/comments/73cbt9/pc_fix_for_failed_to_acquire_server_data/

I did download the Xbox app but it still does not work

hmm i realized that xbox live dont get installed when using use app store. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/how-to-reinstall-xbox-live/88072059-ef57-4d43-b289-954208202594

just open Powershell in admin mode then type Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

this command will restore all default windows 10 apps

Whenever I paste the command, there is this error

looks fine to me those error are just shown because those apps already running and installed

try to check if xbox app and xbox live is back in app list

if not xbox live can be download from this hyperlink ms-windows-store://pdp/?PFN=Microsoft.Xbox.TCUI_8wekyb3d8bbwe

also i dont know xbox identity provider is also needed but that can be download from msstore
