you can right click it, and then click on “Edit”, which will open the Powershell ISE to allow you to edit the file. Sometimes it opens Notepad, depending on the machine’s default app settings.
When you run the GUI, you can click on “Customize Blocklist” and it will open that file for you. When the new window is opened, you can click to remove whatever you had included. If it is checked that means it will be removed. Unchecked means it won’t be.
Custom list not saving. Its just empty. Removes everything even if I don’t check mark it

Can you send a screenshot of what the empty list looks like? I have not encountered this before. Thanks.

Thanks for the screenshot! I usually do, yes, but I didn’t experience what you are experiencing. I will double check this tomorrow night since I won’t be slammed by work. I should have a fix for this sometime tomorrow evening or Saturday morning if I am able to recreate and fix it.

Aaaaand now that I have thought about it, I have an idea of what broke and how to fix it. Should be a really quick fix. I changed Whitelist and Blacklist to be Allowlist and Blocklist, and I believe something related to that broke after making the change.

Ok, i hope and i'm sure you 'll find the solution
@Sycnex - I went to use the GUI script to clean up a newly imaged machine and downloaded a fresh copy of the script and noticed the custom list wasn't saving as well, took a look at the previous versions and had to go back to the February 5, 2021 commit to get a working version. The March 12, 2021 merge where the GUI was redesigned broke the ability to save custom lists in the GUI. Hopefully that helps you troubleshoot it a little faster.
This should now be fixed. I appreciate the additional help & info @ktkintner. Can you please grab the latest GUI version and verify that it works on your end? I tested and it works as expected now on my end.

Hey question for you.
Is it possible to automatically run this script with admin rights so I don't have to open up PowerShell as administrator and at the same time enable allow scripts on my machine. As all newly installed windows 10 machines block scripts until you enable them.
Also is there a way where you can make it so all features in these scripts are for ALL users and not just the local machine. Or if possible, give us the option in the GUI to select for current user or all users even newly added ones?
When I setup a new user and they log in all bloatware comes back and then I have to run the script again on the same machine.
I believe this is called the win 10 experience if I am not mistaken.

I can make it so that the script automatically set elevates to run as an administrator.
As for the all users portion - it’s supposed to already work for all users, even new ones. I will investigate further if it isn’t doing that already though.
Alternatively a scheduled task could be create that runs at logon or something. Maybe I’ll add something like that.

I added some things in the customized bloatware, but it saved to a different file "custom-lists.ps1" which when i opened with PowerShell it immediately opened and closed. How do I remove the bloatware I added?
