WIth the latest GUI I have the following issues:

This is an excellent tool but a few bugs have popped up unfortunately. I've bought you a coffee to say thanks.

Hi Adam,

My apologies for the issues that you have experienced.

I can work on making the cosmetic changes to differentiate between a checkbox that is disabled and one that is unchecked.

I will also work on fixing the form so that it is both expandable and also is formatted correctly.

Is this the version you downloaded in the last 24 hours or just before that? There was a bug where the custom lists file was not saving correctly before I had fixed it last night.

It should actually create a custom lists file from wherever you run it if it doesn’t exist (so no need to run it from a specific location). If it isn’t doing that then I will take a further look, but this could potentially be an issue with running it from the .bat file(s). I am going to take those down for now, and will either replace them with a .ps1 file or just remove altogether.

When viewing the customize allowlist/blocklist there is no way to differentiate between a tickbox that is disabled and one that is unticked. They all look the same. The blocklist is a model popup which can't be expanded, and I can't see the labels on the left hanside. It cuts off Installed AllUsers NON- and then there is some text underneath but its cut off by the label below it (I know it says REMOVABLE but I wouldn't know that in this version!) It doesn't work with any custom block lists as default setup. I'm running it via the Quick start and the custom-lists is saved to C:\ which has both of the whitelistedapps and bloatware empty. When I run it nothing happens. I had to copy a known custom-list (using an older version) to C:\ and then re-run it? Is this a limitation of running it from the Quick start? I am running the GUI in C:\Temp\Windows10Debloater directory. This is an excellent tool but a few bugs have popped up unfortunately. I've bought you a coffee to say thanks.

I went ahead and remove the .bat files since that could introduce some weirdness with creating the custom list. Can you give it another shot with the latest version available of the GUI? Please and thanks!

Sycnex commented 3 years ago

I appreciate the coffees by the way, thank you so much!

I tried the latest version 2 minutes ago and still doesn't save the custom list properly.

The custom-lists.ps1 contains only the below, doesn't matter what I change in the list.

$global:WhiteListedApps = @( ) $global:Bloatware = @( )

@lkakas and @adamparker - Please try 1 more time and download the now latest version. I accidentally reintroduced the bug when adding the ability to disable Bing Search when using the Search feature in the start menu. My apologies.

@Sycnex Saving custom list works now. Thanks.

Sycnex commented 3 years ago

Glad to hear that! I went ahead and adjusted the formatting and font size to make it more easily readable as well.

Good job and thanks for your work.

You're welcome for the coffees, it's well deserved. Best regards, Adam.
